Four months to second dose

Dear ministers,
I understand that the policy in Alberta/Canada is to give the second dose of vaccine 4 months after the first vaccine. That is according to NACI’s recommendation. But that is NOT recommended by the manufacturer and according to CBC news, a pre-print study out of UK shows that ‘delaying second doses especially for immunocompromised individuals will leave them “wholly or partially unprotected” and had implications on their health and the potential emergence of coronavirus variants’.
I hope that with the high number of variants we have here in Alberta would cause us to reconsider our AHS policy here in Alberta.
Thank you.
