To Whom It May Concern:
As a Liver Transplant Patient of 27+ years; and on behalf of all Transplant Patients in Alberta, I am writing to find out if our government will be following Ontario’s lead ; and now also New Brunswick, in reducing the wait time between the first and second doses of the Covid Vaccine. Please refer to the attachments above. There is not much sense in having the first shot if there is little chance of it helping and knowing that the second shot is too far away to help! I received my first dose on Saturday, April 3. If we won’t be getting the second dose in time to help with the antibodies, to me, it is a waste! This will certainly do nothing to help with the healthcare costs and the protection of your citizens as far as Transplant and Immunocompromised Patients are concerned. You are giving these, your, citizens false hope at a time when they are counting on their government to do the right thing to protect them. I hope you will take this into prompt consideration and follow the three week recommended time between doses.
Sincerely,
Linda Lawrence Box 4933, Stn Main Bonnyville, AB T9N 0H3 Cell: 780-201-3198
