travel restrictions

Dear Dr. Hinshaw, I am writing with concerns about the new travel restrictions when people are returning for the United States. I am a health care worker (RN), and my concern centers around my doughter who was diagnosed with cancer last year. We have exhausted all of the treatment options on Canada and now have to look to the US. When cancer patients are returning home from the US, could you please allow them to quarantine in their own homes instead of a hotel for $2000. Traveling to the US for treatment should be considered essential travel for any cancer patient as their chance for survival depends on it. Cancer patients are extremely careful because if they get sick, their treatment is halted. Please reconsider this request to aid these patients. Sincerely, Brenda Clayton
